The pics really don't do this carpet justice.  The colors are amazing!  It's bright and vibrant with very soft wool.  This will brighten any room!  1st qtr. of the 20th century.

Tribal rug with Afjar medallions.  I was told it is Baloch so it may have been made in Quetta.  Very good condition, elements of Yamood designs in the minor border.

Shirvan Prayer Rug (10003)

Rare Shirvan prayer rug, very old, some repairs but very well done.  See the pics for examples.  3.3 by 5.2 ft. large for a prayer rug.  Beautiful condition.  Wonderful example of this rare prayer rug.

Area of repair (front side)

Area or repair, the back of the rug.  These repairs are done similar to needle point.  The people who make them are experts at such repairs and use yarns similar to the original rug.  No damaged rugs are ever disposed of in this business!

Zingiri prayer rug.  Wonderful condition, very dark center field pattern.  Looks wonderful in bright sunlight.

unusual Kashan tribal rug (1156)

Kashan carpet.  Tribal with a beautiful arbrash.  No fading, some wear spots but nothing severe (see pics)  5x6 ft. Kashan is a factory town and most carpets from this area are very fine quality with no color variation.  This rug was not made in one of the factories, hence "tribal".  Very high quality and beautiful piece.  Unusual.  1st half of the 20th century.
